LIFE now offers an e-learning course in statistics: Applied statistics for researchers and developers that will take place online from February 17th - May 14th, 2010. The course is evaluated as giving 6 ECTS.

Registration and course fee
You sign up by mail to dittec@life.ku.dkat the latest on February 5, 2010. If you are a PhD student (EU) there is no course fee, otherwise the course fee is 10000 DKK (Danish kroner). Number of participants is limited to 30. Selection among timely applications is mainly on a first-come first-serve basis, secondly on regional and occupational distribution of participants.

Starting level
You have had an introductory course in statistics and during your work you have frequently encountered statistical analysis and assessments such as p-values, confidence intervals, t-tests, standard errors. You sometimes carry out statistical analyses yourself, but may be uncomfortable with it and want to learn more.
